What is palliative care?
Palliative care is specialized care focused on improving quality of life for people living with serious, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses. At Patakahle Care Services, it includes pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and guidance for families, all delivered with dignity and compassion.
Who can benefit from Patakahle Care Services?
Our services are suitable for patients facing serious or terminal illnesses, chronic conditions, or those needing ongoing medical and personal care at home. We also support families and caregivers throughout the care journey.
Do you only provide end-of-life care?
No. While we offer end-of-life care, our palliative services also support patients at earlier stages of illness. Our focus is on comfort, symptom control, and quality of life at any stage of a serious condition.
Where do your services take place?
We operate primarily as a mobile service, providing home-based care across major towns and cities in Zimbabwe. Clinic consultations are available through mobile and fixed clinics, with plans to establish a dedicated palliative care centre in the future.
What services do you offer at home?
Our home-based palliative care includes pain and symptom management, medication administration, emotional and psychological support, guidance for family caregivers, regular nurse visits, and end-of-life care planning.
Are your services available 24/7?
Yes. Patakahle Care Services is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team responds to urgent call-outs and emergencies at any time, day or night.
